In 2021-22 The Buckingham House provided freedom and healing for 150 boys and girls rescued from slavery on the fishing boats of Lake Volta in Ghana by Challenging Heights. This is a story of power, freedom, and gratitude to Buckingham Foundation and the Buckingham Companies.

Buckingham team members gathered for a day of leadership training and development at our annual leadership conference. From award recognition to community service, we packed our day with Buckingham core values and team bonding. During the leadership event and day of service, our volunteers packed hygiene kits for homeless and at-risk veterans in Indy along with many other service projects.

Buckingham Foundation lends support to the Shepherd Community Center through volunteer hours of employees of Buckingham Companies. The staff spent the day cleaning up the facility, painting, demolishing, and rebuilding areas.
Buckingham Foundation donated time and food to Miracle Place, a ministry located on the near east side of Indianapolis, during their Thanks for Giving week in 2016.

Buckingham Foundation is the philanthropic partner of Buckingham Companies. Since its inception in 2006, the Foundation has grown its grant giving capacity to support affordable housing opportunities for families in need, to encourage participation in arts and culture initiatives and to invest in local communities. In 2015, Buckingham Foundation joined the fight against childhood hunger with its Love Indy campaign.

IUPUI students are improving the quality of life for the citizens of Indianapolis in a variety of ways. Through a partnership with the Buckingham Foundation, Herron School of Art and Design graduate Joanna Tanaskovich created a sculpture that is currently on display at the corner of 10th Street and Indiana Avenue. Amanda Lamb, a recent graduate of the IU School of Social Work at IUPUI and inaugural recipient of the Joseph W. Fahy Graduate Fellowship, conducted her fellowship work with the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention.
