This week, our Production team volunteered their time, and strength, to help build one of Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity's homes. Buckingham Foundation is a proud support of Habitat for Humanity as we share the mission of providing affordable housing in our communities. Our volunteers worked in sun, wind, and rain to install the subfloor and the walls of the home.
Fun Fact: Habitat for Humanity homes are not free homes. The future owner of this home, Michael, participates in home ownership classes and contributes over 300 hours of sweat equity to his home. He will also pay a mortgage based on the appraised value at completion. Michael was on site to help with our build and has been waiting 4 years for a home for his family. We can't wait to see the finished result in April 2022!
