Buckingham Companies recently completed renovations at Cottages of Anderson, located at 3221 Morton Street, Anderson, Indiana 46016, including enhancing community spaces, repairing or replacing exterior finishes, and completing updates to 120 units for a total cost of $2.7M. The extensive renovation progress began December 2017 and wraps up this week with a Summer Open House celebration on June 21, 2018 starting at 9 AM.
Cottages of Anderson is a Buckingham Foundation owned property, which is the philanthropic partner of Buckingham Companies. Buckingham Foundation owns four properties that offer clean, safe, affordable housing, as well as, programs and services for their residents. Buckingham Foundation continues to grow its grant giving capacity to support affordable housing opportunities for families in need, to encourage participation in arts and culture initiatives and to invest in local communities.
As part of the renovation project, amenity space, including the leasing center and clubhouse, and 120 units were renovated by the Buckingham Capital Expenditures team. Renovations include:
- New black appliances in all apartment homes
- Updated lighting throughout the amenity space and apartment homes
- All new HVAC systems (air conditioning and furnaces)
- New water heaters in each apartment home
- Kitchens and bathrooms cosmetic updates
- New Roofs throughout the community
- Concrete repairs throughout the community
- Vinyl siding repaired and updated
- Clubhouse remodeled
- Remodeled leasing center
- New playground
- New technology was added throughout the community areas
- New game room
- New gutters throughout the community
- New landscaping
- Complete mill and repair of asphalt
- New permanent and wayfinding signage created
