Drive, Post, Dunk, and Shoot – Buckingham Foundation is heating up for the big game this year, and we want to you to play forward! Buckingham Foundation is going dancing, and not in the tournament you’re thinking. Brackets For Good is a 501©3 organization that takes the excitement of March Madness and turns it into a philanthropic event that’s fun for the whole city.
Beginning February 24th, Brackets For Good kicks off their single elimination, bracket-styled fundraising tournament, allowing 64 local nonprofits to go head-head for a grand prize donation from the Title Partner. That’s where you come in as forward. Each nonprofit needs their team (supporters) to rally with together and compete for donations against other nonprofits that they are matched against each week. The grand prize? Besides bragging rights, the chance to win a $10,000 donation.
During each week-long round, beginning on Fridays throughout the month of March, donors can visit bfg.org, select a nonprofit they wish to support, and donate money to help them advance to the next round. Each dollar donated equals one point! The nonprofit with the most points at the end of each round advances to the next round and the points reset.
Brackets for good has raised over $2.7M for 448 charities across the Midwest since 2012. Last year alone, that total was $1.5M! Better yet, on average, participating nonprofits receive 30% of their donations from first time donors. This year, Brackets for Good expanded their reach from five to 11 local tournaments in Louisville, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Ann Arbor Area, Twin Cities, Hartford, Baltimore, Denver, Cincinnati, Nashville, Miami, and a National USA tournament with participants spanning across 31 states presented by AT&T.

Buckingham Foundation is also supporting the half-time bonus round each Wednesday at Plat99 for the Indianapolis Brackets For Good division. Nonprofits who are competing during the round are invited to join the fun with drink specials and the announcement of the half-time winner, who receives a $500 donation from Buckingham Foundation, for raising the most money that round.
