Buckingham Foundation, the philanthropic partner of Buckingham Companies, has built on the success of their robust employee volunteer program by expanding the scope of their third annual day of service. On November 14, more than 350 employees in nine states will volunteer with 26 different nonprofit organizations. The Indianapolis based company will close the corporate office, construction projects and property locations to send team members to assist throughout their communities.
“Buckingham Foundation has granted more than two million dollars to numerous nonprofits and employees spend 7,500 hours each year volunteering throughout the community,” comments Theresa Rhodes, executive director of Buckingham Foundation. “We’ve accomplished so much the past 10 years, but we know we have the opportunity to impact even more people. Buckingham Day of Service will not only impact the communities in which we build and operate, but also our team members who want to serve. We are motivated and ready for action!”

With all Buckingham properties throughout the country participating, multiple service locations will be impacted by 1400 hours of volunteer time. Locally, Buckingham teams will be partnering with Big Car Collaborative to paint, build, design, grow and enhance their space in Indianapolis with 150 of Buckingham’s local employees.
