The Buckingham Builders came together on Friday, October 9, 2020 to participate in the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity Women Build. Sponsored by Buckingham Foundation and led by Ashley Parker, the team worked together to install shelving, doorknobs and other finishing touches on Sandra & LaQuinta’s homes. Team member Kelly Ribich states, “Although I had volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in the past, I was particularly excited about the Indy Women Build opportunity. I enjoyed being a part of this rewarding experience and working alongside strong, empowered women - many of whom I look to for guidance and strength. Habitat for Humanity is such a phenomenal organization in general but being able to create a warm and inviting home for two families was an extremely heartwarming and fulfilling day.”
The Buckingham Builders were the fourth highest fundraising team, raising just under $7,000! Other team members included: Angela Combs, Chloe Leifer, Holly Jordan, Justine Massonnier, Kristen Trimpe, Nicole Wetzler, Rebecca Cunningham and Lexie Steeb.
Thanks to the Women Build teams, Indy Habitat has raised over $152,000 which is three-quarters of the overall $200,000 goal. Fundraising is still active through the end of October, when both homes will be dedicated to their new homeowners.

Women Build Home Dedication - Save the Date: Friday, October 30 at 4:00 p.m.
Indy Women Build teams will gather (socially distanced) to celebrate new homeowners Sandra and Quinna, and present them with the keys to their new homes! The home dedication is an important piece of the Habitat home build as an opportunity to bring together the many helping hands which made these homes possible and to congratulate our new homeowners on this phenomenal accomplishment.
Homeowner Wish List: We are often asked if there are any items the new homeowners need for their space. Thus, we have put together this homeowner wish list in case supporters are interested in giving an additional gift. If you do plan to purchase something, please give email womenbuild@indyhabtiat.org, so, they can be sure there aren’t duplicate items.
